Ever since IBM's BlueGene Supercomputer was first introduced in 2004, it
has dominated the TOP500 (www.top500.org) Supercomputer list. Now in it's
second generation, BlueGene continues to enable researchers to expand their
science applications. IBM expects to continue setting the pace into the
next decade with plans for a third generation. This presentation will
provide an overview of BlueGene's conception, development, architecture,
and applications.
