ITSB Meeting12/03/2008 - 17:00 12/03/2008 - 18:00 Etc/GMT+6 All ACM members are encouraged to attend the ITSB meetings, held biweekly on Wednesday nights at 5:00 in Walter Library Rm 101. This meeting will determine grant money for clubs, so its very important to have a representative there.

Richard Stallman Seminar on Free Software Movement10/21/2008 - 18:30 10/21/2008 - 20:00 Etc/GMT+6 ACM will be co-hosting a presentation by controversial free software advocate Richard Stallman on campus Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Stallman has been called radical and extremist due to his steadfast beliefs on software. He has been campaigning against both software patents and what he believes are excessive extensions of copyright laws since the 1990s. About: ACM @ UofMThe ACM Office is located in room 2-204 of the Electrical Engineering/Computing Science Building. This is one floor below the ground, near the Study Commons. The ACM Office is a great place to study, meet people in your classes, or just relax. This roomy office boasts computers, a reference library, a large study area with tables and a whiteboard, a cozy living room area with couches, and a kitchen area with fridges, and a microwave. The office is open most of the day during the academic year. |
